The Capstone Project is the recommended assessment option for participants enrolled in the Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) program. It provides candidates with an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply the concepts, tools, and techniques learned throughout the certification to a practical business environment while developing a portfolio-ready professional project.

Participants are required to prepare a Supply Chain Risk Assessment and Business Resilience Report for an existing or simulated organization. The report should:

  • Identify procurement, supplier, logistics, transportation, inventory, warehousing, and operational risks.
  • Assess the likelihood and potential business impact of identified risks.
  • Recommend practical risk mitigation and control strategies.
  • Develop business continuity and operational resilience recommendations.
  • Propose key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and performance monitoring approaches.
  • Apply internationally recognized supply chain risk management frameworks and industry best practices.

Participants selecting this assessment option are typically provided 30 days following completion of the Virtual Instructor-Led Training to submit their Capstone Project for evaluation.Successful candidates are awarded the American Certified Port & Maritime Logistics Executive (AC-PMLE)® credential.

Option 2 – Online Multiple-Choice Certification Examination

Candidates may alternatively demonstrate competency by successfully completing the AC-SCRA® Online Certification Examination, which evaluates knowledge across all certification domains.Participants electing this option will develop a Board-Level Port & Maritime Enterprise Transformation Strategy for an existing or simulated:
