Hold an Associate degree (or internationally recognized equivalent) with a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible operational, supervisory, or management experience in aviation, logistics, warehousing, customs, transportation, or related fields.
Option 4 – Professional Certification Pathway
Hold the American Certified Air Cargo & Aviation Logistics Professional (AC-ACALP)® credential awarded by AAPSCM®, demonstrating successful completion of the professional-level certification pathway.
Option 5 – Experience Recognition Pathway
Possess a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Air cargo operations
- Airline cargo services
- Airport cargo terminal operations
- Freight forwarding
- Ground handling

Assessment Options

Option 1 – Applied Capstone Project (Recommended)
The Applied Capstone Project is the recommended assessment pathway, particularly for participants completing the Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) program. It enables candidates to demonstrate practical application of managerial knowledge while producing a professional portfolio project.
Candidates will prepare a comprehensive Air Cargo Operations Management and Transformation Plan for an airline, an airport cargo terminal, a freight forwarding company, a ground handling organization, or an integrated logistics provider.

Certification Renewal
The American Certified Air Cargo Operations Manager (AC-ACOM)® credential is valid for three (3) years from the date of certification.
